Season 3 of Fortnite Chapter 3 is launched, with many new features and some changes.
With summer fast approaching, the new season of Fortnite started this Sunday. After Epic Games pretty fundamentally changed the way people can play in the past few months, Season 3 sees Fortnite return to its comfort zone, so to speak. Without further ado, here are the novelties.
Season 3 of Fortnite Chapter 3 is launched
For starters, the Ballers, those hamster ball-like vehicles that were retired by Epic Games in Season X, are back with a few tweaks. These can now run on water and a battery limits their autonomy. If this is not your style, know that this season 3 also introduces mounts of the forest, boars and wolves. And it is possible to shoot while you ride them.
With many new features and some changes
Epic Games has also made some changes to the island. A new area called Reality Falls, with bouncing mushrooms, purple trees and caves full of loot, appears. This is also home to the Reality Tree, which will release seeds that players can plant. And the saplings will stay in place from part to part. If you pay attention to your tree, you will get a special loot. Among the new weapons added by Epic in this season is the Designated Marksman Rifle, which, as its name suggests, is very effective at long range.
As always, there is also a new battle pass. This notably offers a Darth Vader skin as well as the Obi-Wan cosmetic item. And that’s not all when it comes to Disney content as, later in the season, Epic will be giving players the chance to win an Indiana Jones skin. You’ll have about three months to earn everything this battle pass has to offer.
