A final release date has been announced for the dynamic rogue-lite action. flame keeper. It will be available for Switch on March 17, 2023, publisher Nacon and developer Kautki Cave announced today.
Flame Keeper was previously revealed in late 2022. We knew it was planned for this year, but no more specific timeline was shared.
Flame Keeper is a dynamic action rogue-lite where your life is your currency. As a special little piece of burning coal called Ignis, you must restore the fire of the Eternal Flame. But in doing so, you exhaust your own life. Find the perfect balance between advancing and staying alive as you fight through a world of darkness and monsters. Learn from your mistakes as you die trying and adapt your tactics, skills and abilities to progress.
Flame Keeper is currently an ongoing game and will be developed and shaped with community input. You can expect the experience to evolve as you play and provide feedback, and as we continue to update and add content. You can expect new weapons and perks, new biomes, enemies, bosses, vendor items like elixirs, and more in the coming months.
Take on hordes of enemies using a multitude of moves and attacks, including punch combos, gunfire, wide area of effect kicks, and powerful finishing moves that deal damage massive. Each Flame Keeper biome is inhabited by unique enemies and obstacles of increasing difficulty that you must learn to overcome.
To progress, you’ll also need to level up Little Carbon through skills and passive abilities. Mix and match abilities in the same run to create tons of different builds.
To restore the Eternal Flame, you must search each environment for what remains of its energy and transfer it to each stage’s fire camp. Find the right balance between staying alive and fighting while progressing.
At the start of each level is Vulpis Village. Here you can rest, improve your skills, rebuild and upgrade structures with the resources you collect.
