After many twists and turns, finally the ‘live-action’ video game movie Five Nights at Freddy’s will debut in theaters and streaming next October 27 in the USA. It was confirmed Jason Blum founder and director of the famous horror film production company Blumhouse.

On the other hand, the Discussing Film Twitter account has published the first image of the film, where an animatronic and a girl appear hand in hand in front of the entrance to the restaurant that gives its name to the brand, confirming that it will be from an adaptation of the franchise’s first game. The film will be released simultaneously in theaters and on NBC Universal’s Peacock streaming platform in the United States. No worldwide release date has yet been confirmed.

This film adaptation has suffered several delays since its Scott Cawthon, creator of the game, announced the project in April 2015. It seems that after the controversial donations that precipitated Cawthon’s exit from the franchise, they haven’t affected his involvement in the production as a screenwriter. The project during these eight years saw a constant rotation of professionals until the arrival of Blumhouse who positioned Emma Tammi as director.
