While Part 2 of Final Fantasy Remake is kept quiet, one of the game’s co-directors, Motomu Toriyama, has let it be known that he will be present during a concert dedicated to the music of the title and that he will will take advantage to make new announcements.

Released in April 2020 worldwide, Final Fantasy VII Remake is now making its fans wait for the release date of its sequel. However, there could be something new as early as this weekend. Indeed, in a message posted on the Square Enix Music Twitter account, Motomu Toriyama, co-director on Final Fantasy VII Remake with Tetsuya Nomura and Naoki Hamaguchi, has let it be known that he will make announcements during the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Orchestra World Tour which will take place on Saturday February 13th at 5pm in Japan, or 9am with us.

Thanks to a translation provided by Aitai Kimochi alias Audrey, a Japanese woman who posts Japanese-to-English translations of content around Final Fantasy on her Twitter account, this is exactly what the message says:

Message from Toriyama: “There will be a special part of the concert during which I will make an appearance and talk about some FF7R content that will only be revealed during this event, so please be present! “

Obviously, with such a vague statement, the expectations of the fans can be very varied. Among the ideas that come up the most, many fans believe that the director could announce either a port of the game on PC since the PlayStation exclusive comes to an end on April 10, or an update specific to the PS5 or the arrival of minor additions like new weapons or new accessories.

Finally, the most dreamy fans might imagine that this is the perfect occasion. to announce new information on Part 2 of the Remake, but that’s unlikely given the current state of development. This could however be the occasion to reveal which are these mysterious First Soldier and Ever Crisis recently deposited by Square Enix. In any case, answer on Saturday morning.
