It’s April Fool’s Day again, and Lasengle has prepared a baseball game version of FGO to celebrate. The title of the game is Fate/Grail League. Each minion has their own stats when it comes to their performance in the field. They also have abilities that you can use to throw the ball or toss it down the field.
The story begins when the mysterious Csejte baseball stadium appears as a small pseudo-uniqueness. You can create your own dream team with over 370 minions, each with their own unique abilities and strengths. To get more players, you have to face different teams. One of the teams is made up of minions from the Bakumatsu era, while another is filled with the faces of Sakura.
In terms of game mode, it is very similar to other baseball games on mobile devices. When the ball is flying towards your batter, you must choose when to swing the bat to control which direction it flies. The direction is very important, because if you hit it towards a defender who can catch it, you will be eliminated. There are also Hit panels on the back to determine how many bases your players can advance or if it’s a Home Run. As for the pitcher, you can throw a variety of balls, such as switches or curveballs. A meter will appear to allow you to control the casting strength of your minion.
There is also an AR mode where you can choose your favorite minions and take pictures of them. It is unknown how many characters you can have at once.
Riyo has drawn every baseball minion into the Fate/Grail league. Riyo is not only the character designer behind Bunyan, but he is also the mangaka of Learning with Manga! FGO series. This isn’t the first time the developers of Fate/Grand Order have released a completely different game for April Fool’s Day. Last year’s game was Fate/Pixel Wars, also with art by Riyo.
Fate/Grail League is available on mobile in Japan and won’t be playable until April 1, 2023. FGO The app is also available on mobile devices.
