News regarding FFXIV patch 6.4 will arrive before the end of March, as developer Square Enix gives us the FFXIV Live Letter 76 date for the producer’s next live stream. These regular streams are usually hosted by Game Director Naoki Yoshida and Community Producer Toshio Murouchi, who will likely spend several hours going over everything about the critically acclaimed MMORPG in its next big update.
The game’s seventy-sixth “Letter from the Live Producer” will focus primarily on FFXIV 6.4, the next major patch following FFXIV Endwalker, as the team heads into its next full expansion. The team usually uses this first Live Letter for a new update to preview all the major features and content we can expect, while the following Live Letter delves deeper into gameplay demos.
As such, we don’t yet know everything that’s coming in FFXIV patch 6.4, but we do have some details. First of all, Yoshi-P has previously stated that players can expect to see bigger FFXIV Island Sanctuary mode updates in 6.4, after a small series of additions in the previous patch. This should satisfy players who have already honed all aspects of the casual sideline farming game.
We also expect to see many standard additions that come with a new FFXIV patch. This includes a continuation of the main storyline quest, drawing increasingly on FFXIV 7.0’s story, and will likely feature at least one dungeon and trial along the way. The Pandemonium Raid Series is set to culminate with four final encounters and their associated Wild Tiers.
There’s also a good chance we’ll see another of the new dungeon criteria and variants, FFXIV’s repeatable and branching story instances, as well as new ways to upgrade your Manderville weapons. They’ll likely arrive in patch 6.45, if included in the update, but they’ll likely still be mentioned during the live stream.
