In-person competitions finally returned last year, where Evolution Championship Series It’s one of the most well-known events, and now this year it’s heading to Las Vegas again this summer, with the lineup of featured games for Evo 2023 now officially revealed.
This year’s event will feature eight fighting games on its main stage, with each game’s Top 6, a change from previous years’ Top 6, performing during each match’s time in the spotlight. Evo’s eight official tournaments will also feature a $25,000 prize pool, of which $10,500 will go to first place.
This year, Street Fighter 6 will make its first appearance in Evo as a main game, joining last year’s main event Guilty Equipment Effort and other throwback games Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, Tekken 7 there King of Fighters XV. Evo 2023 will also feature the first-ever Evo Throwback tournament, with Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 selected as the first retro game, as well as a special first tournament for Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, which will launch later this year.

- Dragon Ball FighterZ (fourth appearance)
- Tekken 7 (seventh appearance)
- King of Fighters XV (second appearance)
- Melty Blood: Lumina-type (2nd appearance)
- Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate (3rd appearance)
- Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (8th appearance, 1st annual Evo Throwback tournament)
