Atlus’ Etrian Odyssey franchise returns with the Etrian Odyssey Origins collection. On sale June 1 on Nintendo Switch and PC, the collection includes HD remasters of Etrian Odyssey, Etrian Odyssey 2, and Etrian Odyssey 3. Each title is also available to purchase separately.
Etrian Odyssey is a series of dungeon-crawling RPGs, in which players gather a group of different classes and explore.
The catch is that the area is completely unknown, so you’ll have to map them the old-fashioned way. Defeat enemies in turn-based battles, sell materials, get better gear, and keep exploring.
In terms of what’s new, Origins Collection includes support for touchscreens on Nintendo Switch for mapping (on PC, the mouse is used for this, as well as general exploration and menu navigation).
The soundtrack is remastered and there are options to choose difficulty and multiple save slots. Stay tuned for more details on the collection in the coming months.
