Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Ostara Festival is on a forced break. After the launch on March 18th, complaints from players about crashes and bugs increased.

The developers reacted quickly and drastically: until a fix is ready, decorations and event quests will be completely deactivated. We explain what exactly is behind it and how it continues.

What’s next for Ostara in AC Valhalla?

Since the update 1.2.0, which ushered in Season 2, the game has been crashing regularly for many, especially near the home town of Ravensthorpe. But other bugs also occur frequently.

For example, a surprising number of players report that their horse stops making noises. To get around the problems for the time being, the developers have switched off the new content.

What exactly has been deactivated? The decorations for your settlement will be temporarily removed. In addition, you will no longer be able to complete quests for the Ostara Festival until further notice, so you will not be able to unlock any rewards. This also applies to the egg hunt at Easter.

When and how will it continue? According to a tweet from the official AC account, a fix will be released in the course of next week, between March 22nd and 28th, which will permanently fix the problems. Until then, the content will remain deactivated.

The Ostara event is scheduled to run until April 8, 2021. It is not yet known whether it will be extended to compensate. We’ll keep you posted and will report back when the fix is released.

Incidentally, the Easter Festival is not the only exciting innovation that awaits you in Season 2 from AC Valhalla. The first big DLC Zorn der Druiden will be released in April – then hopefully without any comparable technical problems.
