As Elden Ring prepares to blow out its first candle, the latter once again exceeds its number of copies sold.
Released on February 25, 2022, Elden Ring inherited Game of the Year for several reasons. Although one might think that the latter was starting to lose its vigor, new data have come to show the opposite. Elden Ring exceeds 20 million copies sold in one year.
Elden Ring, the 20 million GOTYs
This data does not come out of nowhere; East DeSoftware who announces it on these social networks. Last September, over 17 million Shinless roamed the Underworld seeking to become Lord of Elden. Thus, in the space of just six months, Elden Ring was able to accommodate 3 million additional players.
But the ride of millions of Shinless probably isn’t quite ready to end. In fact, a small digital event is planned this February 25, 2023 to celebrate the game’s first anniversary.

Rumors of the Elden Ring abound, as speculation continues to spread like wildfire. Indeed, many are those who are convinced that a DLC will be announced at the end of this anniversary celebration.
Obviously, the game files would have been modified to add packages. With this scenario appearing only twice since the release of Elden Ring (once for the launch and the second for the setting up of the Colosseum PvP DLC), many believe that a DLC is coming.
In fact, it is a very interesting phenomenon, but nothing has been confirmed by FromSoftware yet. Thus, these famous data cannot be taken literally, even if they can be suggestive. FromSoftware has also always offered DLCs for its souls it would be strange not to see any in Elden Ring. However, there are certainly other projects in sight, such as a second room.
However, what is certain is that the development teams are currently busy with another project, Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. Scheduled for release in 2023, it will immerse players in a third-person shooter in a futuristic sci-fi universe where it will be possible to control mecha.
