Elden Ring has sent a sign of life! According to reports from industry insiders Jason Schreier and Jeff Grubb, there will be news about the new role-playing game from From Software and author George RR Martin very soon- maybe even in March.

First of all: Microsoft itself has already made it clear that Elden Ring will not be part of an Xbox event in March. However, the references to new material about the game are increasing.

News already in March?

On January 28, journalist and industry insider Jason Schreier wrote a tweet about the much-anticipated Elden Ring:

“I know a lot of people are desperately waiting for Elden Ring news. I don’t know much about it (other than that it has been postponed a bit). But there are some strong hints floating around that the game will be showing relatively soon. It won’t be Winds of Winter peel off. Elden Ring actually has sides.”

Journalist Jeff Grubb got even more specific when he talked about Elden Ring on his podcast. In it he calls it March is the period for new game content: “It was a combination of sources that gave me the confidence that Elden Ring would be available in late March.”

Nothing has changed about that, but he also admits that he does not know the exact plans and nothing is set in stone. But he is sure: “You won’t have to wait long.”

After that, it was suggested that Elden Ring might get a place in an Xbox showcase in March. Microsoft Marketing Manager Aaron Greenberg now has that all in one Tweet denied:

“Just to set expectations, that won’t happen. There are always things we have work to do but nothing coming soon that would include game announcements or world premieres like this.”

What is Elden Ring?

Elden Ring will be the new role-playing game from the developers of Dark Souls and Bloodborne, which is being created in collaboration with Game of Thrones author George RR Martin. We have summarized all information, trailers and concept art for Elden Ring in our large info hub:

In the end, of course, as usual, rumors of Elden Ring news must be viewed with a healthy amount of skepticism. But what we know with certainty from the statements of Schreier and Grubb: Elden Ring is still on a development course and has news for us. Only when exactly we will see them remains to be seen.
