In October last year, Konami announced the revival of Silent Hill with several franchise-related projects, starting with the Silent Hill 2 remake developed by Bloober Team. It seems that Konami is also preparing a revival for Castlevania and Metal Gear Solidas we would see announcements related to these franchises during the E3 2023.

Since last year, it has been confirmed that the Electronic Entertainment Expo is coming back this year and will do so in a face-to-face event at the Los Angeles Convention Center, which will take place from June 13 to 16. It looks like Konami is planning to have a big presence at EA 2023, as confirmed by VGC from what was said in the site’s latest podcast.

In the latest episode of the Jordan Middler, Andy Robinson and Pete Donalds VGC Podcast it was said that Konami is planning some big announcements for E3 2023 and one of them will be a new Castlevaniaand a Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake. The supposed MGS3 Remake would be used to test interest in the franchise, so if it’s successful, we might see remakes of other installments in the series.

We’re two weeks away from a little return to Castlevania, as the Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC hits all platforms on March 6th, but the VGC Podcast has made sure that’s not the only content in franchise that we will see this year. Although in the case of Metal Gear Solid there is talk of a remake of MGS3, it seems that in the case of Castlevania we will see a new episode.

2021 saw the release of the Castlevania Advance Collections and soon after VGC said Konami was working on a new installment, as well as Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid Remakes. Since then it has been confirmed that they are working on a remake of Silent Hill 2, so there is still no confirmation of the new Castlevania and Metal Gear Solid 3 remake.
