From 6:00 p.m. (peninsula time) today, Destiny 2: Eclipse will host their new raid, Nightmare Root. In it, a team of six Guardians will face an ancient threat from an unknown location and time. Nightmare Root will be available for all players of Destiny 2: Eclipse.

Teams competing for the World’s First title and aiming for exclusive Competitive Mode rewards will have 48 hours to complete the raid. The race details are as follows:

  • Competitive mode will be active for 48 hours from the start of the raid.
  • Player power will be capped at 20 in each encounter. The maximum power level will be 1780.
  • The first team to complete all matches, loot the last chest, and return to orbit will win the first world title. The six members of the winning team will receive one of our World Leader Belts.
  • Those who complete the Competitive Mode raid within 48 hours will receive an exclusive emblem.

Bungie will join Twitch Rivals for the world’s best race of Destiny 2: Eclipse. Twitch Drops will be available during the event and viewers of the race can earn an exclusive emblem if they use the Twitch Rivals channel for at least two hours. You can access it here.
