A leak could have unveiled the content of the next season of Destiny 2, with the key, a new activity.

Bungie is not its first leak, the studio is regularly a victim, and the one that is taking place at the moment is gaining enough momentum in the Destiny community. According to a 4Chan insider (via Screenrant), the fourteenth season of Destiny 2, which launches on May 11, will be called the Season of the Collective (Season of the Collectives en VO).

This would bring a new activity for three players in matchmaking called “The Vex Incursion”. The saga’s army of intelligent robots would indeed be back in the plot, a year and a half after the release of Shadow Bastion – where a Vex incursion was already taking place, and a few months after their appearance in Beyond the light. According to the informant, the Guardians should unite in order to fight against the appearance of these formidable enemies throughout the season, and that‘a new type of Vex would land in the solar system, using an all-new stage element.

In addition, this possible Season of the Collective would sign the reappearance of two exotic weapons from Destiny 1 : Supreme Council (a machine gun) and the Exegesis of the Vex (a fusion rifle).

A plausible leak …

This leak, which must obviously be taken with the tweezers of rigor, is particularly plausible. Season 14 must indeed mark the return of the Glass Vault, a very famous and appreciated raid of the first Destiny. And the Vex are obviously linked to it.

Furthermore, this same season must see Ikora return to center stage, she who worked a lot against this robotic army with murky and dark designs.

Finally, the “Collective” of which this possible leak speaks undoubtedly refers to the Collective of Ishtar, an organization of scientists dating back to the Golden Age, who worked on Venus to unravel the mysteries of the Vex.

… but potentially denied

Bungie made fun of this nightly leak through its Community Manager, dmg04, who however does not refer to the name of the leaked season, but prefers to refer to “the Season of Glass”. Officially, this fourteenth season has no name.

According to the studio’s usual schedule, the new season should be unveiled between May 6 and May 7.
