No wonder we see content on Destiny 2 everywhere, and less so when you take into account that Blackburn themselves recently revealed some of the first details of what’s to come with the game’s next expansion.
It’s like that, Joe Blackburn, the game director has revealed some clues about what’s to come for the game, and he did so through a post on his blog, with a heavy message of more than 5000 words. This includes the issues it’s facing and the fixes the development team is implementing, as well as detailed information about the upcoming four seasons throughout 2023.
Blackburn notes that he thinks the seasons have become too predictable and rigid in their structure: “It’s clear that too much predictability has created a lack of surprise and fun when some of our major game updates come together. in your hands.”
The first seasons of Destiny 2: Eclipse, reveal their first details
This is how the first four seasons of Destiny 2, Eclipse, reveal their first details. First of all, the season that will be released with Lightfall is called challenge season. While no trailer has been confirmed, it does suggest the Guardians will repel some kind of attack.
The State of Play notes that while this season has largely missed the deadline to make broader changes to the traditional seasonal structure, it will bring some quality of life improvements. This includes removing Umbral Engrams in favor of Seasonal Engrams, instead focusing on weapons with Glimmer and said Seasonal Engrams.
Blackburn added that while it will feature a vendor upgrade path, it will require fewer updates compared to seasons like The Witch Queen. The updates will be “more powerful and some will even offer variation in how they interact with seasonal activity.”
The second season of Lightfall has also been given a name, and it will be titled season of the deep. Again, though no story information was offered in the post, which references The Darkness and The Witness in Destiny. Which is described on the blog as the season in which you will start to see more seasonal changes.
Since it will not have supplier update system. The team is also trying to “create cooler activity experiences” like Shattered Realm in Season of the Lost and Battlegrounds in Season of the Chosen.
