After being previously available on PC, Derailed! just launched a new update on Switch that includes a new underwater biome. Players “will have to brave the challenge of the depths to return to the surface”.

Other than that, time mode supports crossplay. There are also other additions, improvements and fixes.

The full patch notes for Unrailed! update are as follows:

  • New: underwater biome added
  • New: Time mode is now cross-play compatible (meaning console versions have been updated to the same version)
  • New: the old compass trolley now functions as a map trolley
  • New: Special themed main menu
  • New: Separate ambient sound settings in settings
  • New: default character selection in settings
  • Improvement: Backup menu opens later.
  • Improved: Highscore UI now indicates if replay is available
  • Improved: loading UI with high score on replay is more responsive
  • Improvement: Allow greater distances in the sandbox
  • Fixed: Atmosphere not displaying correctly in main menu
  • Fix: fixed milk wagon piston offset
  • Fixed: Meteor did not save correctly in save files
  • Fixed: Using less than N tracks was impossible in some cases
  • Fixed: some buttons did not make any sound in the menu
  • Fixed: A rare race condition was causing mapgen to crash on the first extreme map
  • Fixed – Some endgame screens assumed the player was using checkpoints when they weren’t
  • Fix: music fixes in main menu
  • Fix: “No room for improvement” triggered on bad occasions
  • Fixed: driver remapping is sometimes lost
  • Fixed: the bot did not behave correctly with the wagon buckinator
