In April will arrive the (definitive) release of Dead Island 2, the long-awaited sequel to Techland’s action title, now in the hands of Dambuster Studios. This new episode will go from the beaches of tropical islands to the mainland, where zombies have taken almost complete control of the city of Los Angeles.
And we say almost, because that’s where we come in as zombie hunters and fight to survive (and even thrive) in the post-apocalypse. However, the strategy to face the hordes of enemies cannot always be the same, because in Dead Island 2 there will be new variants of zombies. Fortunately, and to be ready for the launch, we leave you below the new classes, accompanied by a short description made by some survivors of their encounter:
Infernal Aplastador: “That’s good voodoo! Can you believe these zombies get their asses burned? I’m not kidding: they’re heat resistant. Do you have any fire-modified weapons? Well, they won’t hurt you. Well, ’cause they won’t care. Put out the flames before they turn you into grilled zombie food! A little water or a chemical bomb and those bastards will lose what makes them special!” – The bogeyman.
Spiked runner: “Zombies don’t feel pain like we do, so when they scale fences or walk through broken windows, barbed wire and shards stick to them like shiny props. So a rowdy zombie slayer can start bleeding.” fix things to the hosts.” – A cocoon with a title.
Walker Grenadier: “Watch your back when surrounded. Some zombies are still carrying the toys they had in life. For example, soldiers are still carrying explosives on them. If you rush into a crowd and set one off, it will make you Explode in the fucking face! Analyze the situation, hit the target, walk away from the explosion bragging, and the zombies will fly through the air. It will make your day easier. – A survivor of Banoi.
And in addition to the new enemies, the studio has shared a video of the new zombie hunter who exudes charisma and bad blood in equal parts: Carla. She is a biker with a particular predilection for hand-to-hand combat and great physical stamina.
It won’t be long before we see Carla face off against the new zombies, as there are only a few months left until Dead Island 2 sees the light of day on PlayStation, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC. That’s right, Dambuster just announced that the game is now gold and advances its launch by one week, until April 21, 2023.
