CD Projekt Red is preparing a new live stream. The developers of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher surprisingly announced via the short message service Twitter that they want to talk about news today. The stream goes live at 4 p.m. – and can be viewed in the Twitch video included below. It remains to be seen which topics the developers want to talk about in the stream, they are still hiding tangible information. There could be a big surprise waiting for players.
Live stream from 4 p.m. – with a cyberpunk surprise?
According to current rumors, the release of Cyberpunk 2077 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S could be imminent. Users on Reddit suspect that the next-gen upgrade could be on the way. There, Xbox players noticed that Cyberpunk 2077 on the Microsoft console was recently advertised as “optimized for Xbox Series X/S” – a strong indication that the next-gen upgrade of the action role-playing game isn’t going to be around for long should be able to wait.
CDPR responds with a funny gif
CDPR responded to the corresponding Twitter note from Verge editor Tom Warren with a funny gif animation that players almost rate as confirmation of a timely release of Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Series X/S and PS5. Meanwhile, there are currently no indications in the PlayStation Store that the PS5 version of Cyberpunk 2077 will be released soon (buy now €52.30) to find. We’re still only talking about the PS4 version here.
Is there a demo?
We’ll know more this afternoon – when the stream goes live at 4 p.m. The release of the technically optimized Cyberpunk version for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S has so far been announced for the first quarter of 2022 (ending on March 31st). It also seems possible that Cyberpunk 2077 will receive a demo on both platforms, as a “free trial” ad posted on Spanish website 3DJuegos suggested. Information about the big update 1.5 can also be expected for the stream.
