First details about Update 1.2 known
The first details of Update 1.2 are presented as humorous glimpses of life in Night City. In the in-game news broadcast, however, there are many improvements that the players have longed for.
No more cops out of nowhere: The suddenly spawning NCPD employees were not only an immersion break for many players, but also a playful nuisance. After the update, the law enforcement officers should behave more logically and only arrive at the crime scene after a while. They also use drones to check the situation in advance.
Vehicle control improvements: According to the CD Projekt, many players currently have a problem with the control speed when driving – vehicles are difficult to control with a mouse and keyboard and at low frame rates. A new slider for the control sensitivity under Options should help.
The control speed should now also remain consistent at low frame rates. In addition, individual vehicles that caused particularly big problems were specifically adapted again.
Cars get stuck less often: Anyone who boarded into cyberpunk at full throttle or simply parked inappropriately could no longer get their car out of this situation. Then it was only a matter of walking two blocks and “calling” his car or pugging another vehicle. That should change in the future: If you have maneuvered your vehicle into an awkward position, you can now turn it while accelerating on the spot or move the wheels to get back on solid ground.
No more unwanted jumps: If you double-tap a movement button, you evade. This caused unwanted jumping maneuvers and sometimes even involuntary deaths for many players.
You can deactivate this function with Patch 1.2 and then simply dodge it by pressing the Duck button twice (by default »C«). Similar problems with other keyboard layouts are to be addressed in upcoming patches.
But that’s not all. Patch 1.2 was postponed, among other things, because the update is supposed to be the biggest for Cyberpunk 2077 so far, but also because of the unsightly hacker attack, which has earned no respect or praise for us. So we can definitely count on much more detailed patch notes when the time comes.
When will patch 1.2 for cyberpunk be released?
There is not yet a specific release date for the update. So far we have talked about the second half of March, but we have already reached that. It remains to be seen whether CD Projekt Red will postpone the patch to April. A release in the coming week seems more likely to us. We will keep you definitely up-to-date!
