Cyberpunk 2077 started on the consoles with serious technical defects. Especially players on the last-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One reported low frame rates, low resolutions, annoying pop-ups and crashes.

A few days after the release in December 2020, Sony removed the action role-playing game from the PlayStation Store – and granted refunds. Since then, Cyberpunk 2077 cannot be bought on PSN. At what point the current CDPR work will return to Sony’s online shop is still unknown.

However, the developers assume that you are “closer to a PSN return than further away”.

In a current meeting with investors, Michał Nowakowski, SVP of business development at CDPR, refers to a number of hotfixes and major updates that have been made for Cyberpunk 2077 in the past weeks and months published.

The big update 1.2 was only released this week, which installed more than 500 optimizations and bug fixes for the action role-playing game. Every single patch would bring Cyberpunk 2077 closer to returning to PSN. However, the final decision rests with Sony.

“We believe that we are closer than further away. But of course the final decision rests with Sony. So let’s wait and see,” comments Nowakowski. As soon as we get more information about this, you will find out as usual in our news area. Cyberpunk 2077 went on sale on December 12, 2020 for PC and consoles.
