Activision announces that Toys for Bob studio has worked with passion and determination to bring Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time to PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

Whether on PS5 or Xbox Series X, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will run in native 4K at 60fps, knowing that the version on Xbox Series S will be upgraded and run in 4K. The latter will also benefit from faster loading times and 3D audio for better immersion. Moreover, in order not to frustrate some players and avoid unnecessary bad buzz, the American publisher Activision offers a free upgrade for the new generation as long as the players have the game on the same family of consoles. Backup transfer is also possible so as not to start the story all over again.

Toys for Bob also wanted to support DualSense on the PS5 version of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. This will allow fans to feel the force of Neo Cortex’s DNA-modifying blaster and feel the grip when using Tawna’s grappling hook. But that’s not all, the activity card functionality on Sony’s new console will give a clear breakdown of player progress in each of the dimensions of the game by providing guidance for achieving goals.

A Nintendo Switch version is also slated for that same date, but don’t expect similar graphical improvements for the sequel to the original trilogy and the franchise’s first original creation.
