Take a closer look at the cosmic horror fishing game Dredge, thanks to a new presentation from developers Future Games Show Spring Showcase powered by Turtle Beach Stealth Pro.
Arriving in an isolated island community to replace its missing fisherman, Dredge tasks you with feeding the islanders. The more fish you catch, the more money you have to upgrade your ship, and the further offshore you can venture, in search of ever more valuable cargo in a race against darkness and a battle against the panic that is setting in. sunset. down and the Lovecratian influence of the game kicks in.
In their presentation, developer Black Salt Games offered a closer look at the game. Starting out as a failed fisherman on the shores of the mysterious island of Greater Marrow, you’ll have to make a living on the seas. Eventually, though, you’ll be able to go deeper, and the new video offers a look at some of the weird islands (and terrifying creatures) you’ll encounter as you earn the cash you’ll need to upgrade your ship. . The video also delves a bit more into what happens at night, when the line between reality and nightmare begins to blur.
Already listed as one of the indie highlights of 2023, Dredge really isn’t far off, so you’ll be able to set sail very soon: the game is out March 30 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam (opens in a new tab) and GOG.
