The issue of the overly detailed recreation of the anatomy of various female characters in the next generation of The Witcher 3 is causing a stir. There are many indications that CD Projekt RED did not ask the author of the mod in question for permission to use it.
A few days ago, a surprising change appeared in the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which caused heated discussions in many places on the Internet. Curious players have discovered that Moorish witches and witches have their private body parts recreated in incredible detail. The reason for this was that while creating the update, CD Projekt RED took advantage of a number of fan-made mods, and one of them featured this very change. Now, there are many indications that the author of this project did not give permission to use it at all.
- When creating the update, the folks at CD Projekt RED got permission from the mod creators and paid them for using their works.
- The private body parts found in the next-gen version are most likely from the mod called Vagina’s for Everyone. Kotaku contacted its author, a fan by the name of MasterEditor. He confirmed that his project is responsible for all the confusion, and at the same time informed that he has not been contacted by anyone from CD Projekt RED regarding the use of the mod in the update..
- Most likely, all this is not due to the ill will of the developers. Considering the fact that the developers wanted to get permission from modders and pay them for the use of their works, it’s hard to consider that CD Projekt RED decided to specifically omit MasterEditor.
- A much more likely scenario is that another modifier uses elements of vagina for everyone in its modification and is part of the update.
Recall that CD Projekt RED has already informed that realistic private parts will be removed in one of the next updates.
The next-gen version of The Witcher 3 debuted last December. The updated edition of the game is available for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X.
The new version was pretty well received, although players complained about technical issues, including poor performance. The developers are currently working on fixes.
