Contraband Police proved to be a considerable commercial success. As reported by the game’s publisher, the game managed to break even in just 2 days after launch.

That’s not all, as Kostowski also revealed in his tweet that 49,000 people have purchased the game so far.which is an impressive result, considering the small size of Crazy Rocks, the studio behind the game.
Contraband Police’s popularity also seems to be followed by quality, which was also noted by PlayWay’s CEO in his tweet, mentioning the very positive reception of the game among Steam users (94% upvotes out of 712 reviews ).
Interestingly, Kostowski revealed that the total budget allocated for the production was 2 million PLN (about $500,000), including development and marketing expenses.
Console ports en route
Undoubtedly, the commercial success made the developers involved in this project happy, since they have already done announced console ports of the game, which Kostowski says will be released later this year.
Contraband Police is a simulator developed by the Polish studio Crazy Rocks, which lets you play the role of a border guard from a fictional communist country.
The game debuted on Steam on March 8. There is currently a discount available on the Valve platform, which allows you to purchase Contraband Police at a 10% discount until March 23.
