Wasn’t season 6 of the shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare the last? According to a developer at Infinity Ward, new content is planned. A potential leak may even show the content that we are going to see in Season 7.
Season 7 of Modern Warfare supposedly comes with new operator bundles, maps and weapons
What kind of leak is that? Infinity Ward’s Lead Multiplayer VFX Artist Reed Shingledecker commented on Twitter that more content is coming for the game. However, he also stated that he does not know how this content is called. So it is not at all clear whether this is really a “Season 7”.
What kind of content is that? According to leaks, two new operator bundles await us. Players have discovered this in the code of CoD Modern Warfare. One of the bundles apparently brings Soap MacTavish (from the original Modern Warfare trilogy) into play and contains:
- loads of cosmetic items
- three variants of the operator
- three legendary weapon blueprints
- Charms, emblems and sprays
The second bundle offers:
- an operator skin
- Vehicle skins
- legendary blueprints
- animated emblems and more
Both bundles are said to cost 2,400 CoD points each.
Which maps are included? It is said to be two 6v6 and two Gunfight maps.
The 6v6 maps include:
- Al Raab Airbase with a hangar in the middle and two entrances
- Killhouse as a new edition of the well-known map from 2007, which was previously only reissued in CoD Mobile
With the two Gunfight cards we apparently get:
- Townhouse, which is based on a campaign mission
- Drainage that is said to have been completely rebuilt
What about new weapons? Both CoD Modern Warfare and Warzone are to receive new weapons. Those are:
- The Sykov pistol, formerly known as Makarov, which you can unlock with four pistol kills in five games.
- The CX-9 SMG, which you can get by mastering two SMG kills at a long distance in five games.
- The Raal MG, which you unlock when you level up another LMG, unlock the Scout Optic and manage five kills in seven games with it.
But nothing has been confirmed yet.
The information about the alleged Season 7 of CoD Modern Warfare should therefore be treated with caution.
