Season 2 is about to start in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone: it will be activated on February 25th.

In a current blog entry, Treyarch is now announcing the specific times for the launch. Shortly before the start, extensive updates for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone are available for download, which play the additional content for the two first-person shooters.

As the developers say, the Black Ops Cold War patch will be available for download on February 24 between 12 and 1 p.m. The Warzone update, in turn, should be available on February 25 between 12 a.m. and 2 p.m.

“Along with new content for Season 2, the updates contain quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone,” the developers write in the blog entry.

The specific patch notes are not yet available; they will most likely be submitted around the release of the updates. Players can look forward to new maps, game modes and weapons, among other things.

The new maps for the multiplayer mode include Apocalypse (right at the start), Golova (later for Season 2) and Mansion (later for Season 2).
