In the past few days it had become apparent that something would happen to the map “Verdansk” in the battle royale shooter Call of Duty: Warzone in the foreseeable future.
So there was and is speculation about an end of the card in its previously known form. This is exactly what seems to be happening gradually, because the first harbingers have already appeared in the game.
Shortly after the playlist update on April 15, 2021, several players reported an interesting change on the Verdansk map. In the meantime, two areas of the map are covered by a nuclear or radioactive cloud.
These are the regions “Prison” and “Ship Wreck”. If you currently enter this, you will immediately notice a change in the environment, which is mainly shown in the form of a green fog. This immediately causes damage to your game character – until he dies on screen.
You can protect yourself from this threat for a short time with the help of a gas mask. But in principle these two areas are no longer really accessible.
By the way, these are exactly the areas of Verdansk where the first zombies were spotted some time ago. In all likelihood, this is likely to be directly related.
