Data from a recent leak suggests that Activision plans to release Call of Duty on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One until 2024.

The next two installments of Obligation It can be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This is what the December data breach suffered by Activision and seen by documents from Insider Gaming.

According to journalist Tom Henderson, information so far indicated that this year’s installment of the series, Project Cerberus (originally slated for a 2024 release), would be the last to arrive on 8th Gen consoles. However, leaked data hitting the web indicates that the upcoming CoD could also be released on PS4 and XOne.

Apparently Call of Duty is in no rush to leave last-gen consoles. Source: Activision Blizzard.

Henderson points out that Although the authenticity of the documents is not in doubt, the information they contain may be outdated.. After all, as we mentioned, the hack of Activision’s servers was supposed to take place in December, and the company has already managed to change its plans on other issues.

However, it should be noted that Microsoft has just signed a contract with Nintendo, in which it committed to launching the next installments of Call of Duty on the Japanese manufacturer’s platforms (subject to its acquisition of Activision Blizzard being successful) .

So while the company doesn’t have any imminent plans to release a new console, the next CoD games will be released for the Nintendo Switch, a much less powerful device than the PS4 and XOne. In this case, there would be no reason for Activision not to prepare versions for these platforms as well.

As of now, we know next to nothing about Call of Duty releasing in 2024. In July 2022, concept art for the project was discovered in Mobile CoD: Warzone code, including one depicting the F-117 Nighthawk .
