Bandai Namco revealed what will be available when the network test for Blue Protocol goes live in Japan on March 31, 2023. It showed the information during an official broadcast, which lasted about an hour and a half. Players will be able to experience the first parts of the story and raise their character to level 20. (Thanks, Gamer!)
Only Chapter 1 will be in the Blue Protocol Network Test, with some side quests changed specifically for this test. You will only be able to level up your character to level 20, as mentioned above, and the maximum Adventurer Rank you can have will be 4. Only four locations on the map will be accessible.
Players will also have the chance to try out the Heavy Smasher class. Heavy Smasher will be a near mid-range fighter. Other classes include Twin Striker, Aegis Fighter, and Blast Archer. These classes are very similar to what you would imagine in an RPG. For example, Blast Archer specializes in ranged support with arrows and magic.
During the network test on April 1 and 2, 2023, you may receive some items in the mail. They appear to be various dyes for your character. You will also be able to transfer the character you create from the benchmark to the game. To do this, export the character file from the benchmark folder and then import it once in game.
The Blue Protocol network test will be held from March 31, 2023 to April 2, 2023 in Japan. Blue Protocol is in development for PS5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. It’s slated for release on PC in Spring 2023 in Japan, and will then appear in other regions and other platforms later this year.
