Bowl of blood 3 it launched on Xbox last week, and unfortunately the reviews haven’t been too good so far, with the game currently sitting at a high Metacritic of 58. It hasn’t been ideal either, and the team has already addressed fan complaints about the state of the game.

A big issue so far has been server issues, which have prevented players from logging in, staying logged in, and even unlocking parts of the game. of these issues (at least on PC), it’s still not quite smooth. However, Cyanide Studio appears to be working hard to fix the game, as detailed in a new community update.

“We would like to start with where the game will be at launch and what players can expect from us as we move forward. we are working hard to add these features.

Game functionality is our top priority and rest assured that we will do our best to fix any bugs or broken items as soon as possible.

We expect Blood Bowl 3 to be an ever-evolving game. Even the end of the roadmap is not the end of the road. We will continually add content and events. We have big plans and big ambitions for Blood Bowl 3 and these early setbacks don’t change that.”

The post also delves into discussions about the game’s monetization systems, with the developer stating that all of its micro-DLCs “are just cosmetic” in response to fan concerns.

Next, we’d like to talk about monetization, and we appreciate that this is a hot topic within the community. This is something we try to communicate before launch, but we intend to implement features that allow players to be rewarded with cosmetic or Warpstone items for playing and purchasing.

We know we probably won’t be able to convince everyone, but we really think our system is fair, rewarding and optional, and that’s understandable.”

If you’re playing Blood Bowl 3 and want to see a more detailed breakdown of server issues and microtransactions, it’s probably worth taking a look at the full community post. Hopefully these are just some teething issues at launch and the team can get the game to where the community wants it in the coming months; the studio certainly seems dedicated to the cause.

Thank you for your time and for your passion for Blood Bowl. No matter the disappointment, we can always see the passion behind it and it’s something that drives us forward and motivates us to change things.”
