Blizzcon 2021 will take place in a few days with an online format to preview details of sagas such as Overwatch, Diablo, World of Warcraft and more. We tell you all the details, here!
Blizzard revealed the schedule of BlizzCon 2021, its most important event of the year where it announces the news to come. This time, as a result of the health crisis of the COVID-19, it will be an entirely online event under the name BlizzConline. From there, we will see previews of Overwatch 2, and what is coming for Diablo and the World of Warcraft.
BlizzCon 2021, It will be a two-day event that starts on February 19, and lasts until Saturday, February 20. The opening ceremony will be on Friday at 2pm Pacific Time (7pm in Argentina), and will last approximately one hour. From there, the event will be divided into six different channels to cover World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Diablo, Overwatch, and “Strategy games“, which would be StarCraft, Warcraft III: Reforged, and Heroes of the Storm.
For its part, the main channel of Blizzard will run clips and select moments from the other channels. Among the events, that of Overwatch It is perhaps the most anticipated given that it will advance details of the long-awaited sequel with several of the game’s actors, and there will also be a panel with the composers of the soundtrack. In addition, we will see in depth what is coming to Diablo and World of Warcraft, according to the full BlizzCon 2021 schedule.
One detail to note is that the communication is quite careful and although they promise “a look at the future of Diablo”, at no time do they specifically mention Diablo 4. One possibility is that the event focuses more on the remake of Diablo 2 than performs Vicarious Visions, but director Luis Barriga confirmed that we will see the game in Blizzcon 2021. We may see some trailer and gameplay, but a release date seems unlikely.
