PlayStation veteran and independent director of Sony Interactive Entertainment Shuhei Yoshida is set to receive a BAFTA scholarship at the 2023 BAFTA Games Awards, it has been announced.
Shuhei Yoshida rewarded for his work with independent developers
Yoshida has a long list of PlayStation accomplishments, but it’s her work with independent creatives that has earned her well-deserved recognition in the games industry. Recognizing her support and contribution to the industry, the director BAFTA General Jane Millichip said Yoshida was “deeply deserving” of the scholarship.
“Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with incredibly talented teams who have developed some of the best games in the industry,” Yoshida said in a press release. “I have always celebrated alongside these developers as their games have received well-deserved accolades. It is a great honor for me to receive my own award.”
Yoshida will receive the scholarship on Thursday, March 30.
