Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon released today on Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo gave us a new trailer to introduce us to this colorful prequel to Bayonetta’s story.
In the trailer we can take a look at its gameplay so different from the main deliveries, see how we can control Cherry there cheshire separately using the Joy-Cons, or we can keep them as a single entity in the game’s Hug mode. We also see how Cheshire and Cherry can help each other navigate the Avalon Forest with their abilities.
Although this game won’t have as much action as Bayonetta 3, there will be some fighting, as seen in the last half of the trailer. You will be able to fight against the fairies with Cherry and Cheshire working as a team: the first binds them and the second destroys them.
There’s also a potion brewing mechanic and plenty of unlockable abilities in the prequel, allowing you to be even more menacing in the Avalon Forest. Take a look at all of these features and more in the trailer below.
