Prior to launch, a demo of Bayonetta Origins: Cherry and the Lost Demon is out. This is available for download in all major regions right now.
The demo contains the first two chapters of the game. Additionally, players can transfer their save data to the full version.
Here’s a preview of the title:
Long before this apprentice of the dark arts was named Bayonetta, she embarked on a fateful journey into the Forbidden Forest of Avalon. Next to her was Cheshire, her first demon, who possessed Cherry’s plush toy. Play as Cherry and Cheshire and journey through the dangerous forest to find the power to save Cherry’s mother.
Control Cheshire and Cherry to solve puzzles and hunt demons.
Every good story has a lesson in teamwork, right? In this tale, Cherry and Cheshire coordinate their efforts to fight fairies and solve puzzles. Use the left Joy-Con controller to move Cherry around and bind enemies with her magic. Using the right Joy-Con controller, move Cheshire around to slice and smash enemies.
Turn the pages of Cherry’s story as you explore the enchanting Avalon Forest, inspired by a storybook.
The Avalon Forest is as beautiful as it is beastly. Each new area appears to have been painstakingly hand painted. Fully-told story scenes are told through the vibrant illustrated storybook pages. Be sure to stop and smell the roses in this whimsical world, but don’t linger too long: the forest tastes like lost witches.
Besides the demo, we have some new trailers for Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon below. The first is a trailer. The second is a more general overview, but is currently only available in Japanese; we will modify the English version when it is available.
Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon will be released for Switch on March 17, 2023. You can get the demo from the eShop.
