Electronic Arts and DICE are working on a new battlefield: The fact that a new part of the popular first-person shooter series is planned for 2021 was confirmed several months ago. But fans still have to wait for tangible details. Meanwhile, the well-known leaker Tom Henderson wants to have new information. From people who are familiar with DICE’s plans, he has learned that “Battlefield 6” is returning to a modern setting that is inspired by Battlefield 3, he reports in a recent YouTube video. Similar He made statements as early as May 2020.

He also renews his most recent statements that Battlefield 2021 will come with maps that are designed for battles with up to 128 players. The release of the first person shooter is planned for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and the last-gen consoles. However, Henderson adds, the new Battlefield on PS4 and Xbox One will probably not allow 128-player matches – and instead target a maximum of 64 participants. The destruction feature could also be limited to the two last-gen consoles and only fully develop on PC and PS5 and Xbox Series X.

EA Play 2020: Live event postponed due to ongoing unrest – this is the new date

Electronic Arts is postponing the EA Play 2020 event. The publisher has announced a new date via the short message service Twitter.

Henderson does not believe that the versions for PC and next-gen consoles could be limited “in any way”. “I learned that a completely different studio or at least a different part of DICE was responsible for the development of the last-gen version,” the leaker is quoted as saying. However, he could not clearly confirm whether “Battlefield 6” comes with a Battle Royale mode. His sources could not say exactly whether the mode is still planned. In view of the 128 player maps and the Call of Duty Warzone success, however, a BR mode does not seem entirely unlikely.

It remains to be seen whether the rumors will come true. Electronic Arts has so far not revealed any details about the new first-person shooter. Until then, you should read the information carefully. We’ll keep you up to date in our news area.
