Fans have been waiting for the next update for the early access version of the role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3 for a long time.

Now the developers at Larian Studios have announced that they will present this patch during the “Panel From Hell 2” live stream.

There will be news about the next BG3 patch soon

The live stream will take place on February 17th at 7 p.m. Also included are Larian’s creative director Swen Vincke and “Dungeons and Dragons” main rules designer Jeremy Crawford. However, the team does not want to be too specific about the content of the next update in advance.

However, it will be necessary to start all over again. Because savegames are not compatible with the new version. As with the last patch, it will be possible to continue playing with the previous version, but then without the new features of the patch.

The developers also state that the update has implemented a lot of the feedback from the players.

Larian also says that fans of Baldur’s Gate can expect the most extensive patch notes that have been available for the game so far. This suggests that some things have changed. What exactly, we find out during the “Panel From Hell 2” live stream.

It is not clear whether Larian will announce something about the official release date and thus the end of the early access phase of BG 3. Since the corona pandemic is still raging, it cannot be ruled out that the role-playing game will not be released until next year.

Because Corona has already had an impact on the development of Baldur’s Gate 3. The start of the early access phase had to be postponed several times. We will find out more on February 17th.
