The Xbox & Bethesda Showcase 2022 did not disappoint gamers who were thirsty for information on ARK 2 . Studio Wildcard’s sequel was shown off with a new trailer and the developers delved into everything the title will offer for Xbox and PC.
To begin with, it was confirmed that it is still quite a few months away from being ready, as it will debut sometime in 2023. The good news is that players will be able to enjoy it from its premiere on Xbox Game Pass and PC Games Pass.
ARK 2 is inspired by Breath of the Wild and Assassin’s Creed
Studio Wildcard revealed that ARK 2 will tell us the story of a father and a daughter, who witness betrayals and broken promises. The players’ mission will be to survive and form a tribe while living together and fighting with dinosaurs.
The game will feature a third-person perspective and movement mechanics inspired by the Assassin’s Creed saga and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild . Thus, there will be greater freedom compared to the original delivery.
Another interesting detail is that the studio is working to give it an action approach and combat that recovers elements from Souls-type titles. There will also be a bet on having a more lively and dynamic experience through world events.
Finally, it was confirmed that the game will have support for mods. The surprise is that they will not only be available on PC, but console players will also be able to enjoy them. Below I leave your new trailer:
