Season 16 of Apex Legends is almost here, and to be honest, we wouldn’t normally be so worried if it was a standard season full of Battle Royale content. However, developer Respawn is going back to its Titanfall roots with the addition of a traditional team deathmatch mode.
Yes, it looks like Apex is turning into a larger free-to-play FPS with the arrival of Season 16 thanks to a new TDM game mode. Battle Royale has tried alternate game modes before with Apex Legends “Arenas”, but this is probably the most traditional FPS mode yet.
In the 2 days of Titanfall, “Attrition” was the closest thing to TDM, but of course back then the mode was also full of those big titanic machines. That said, the team has also dabbled in non-Titan modes and playlists in the past.
Outside of new gameplay, Season 16 is also full of what you’d normally expect: balance tweaks to existing “legends”, a new weapon, and more, although this season won’t introduce any new ones. legendary character this time. .
If you fancy trying out the new mode, Apex Legends Season 16 is coming to February 14th for all platforms.
