Nintendo has announced a new update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons on March 18th. With the patch, the developers are preparing the life simulation for an Easter event: Bunny Day will also take place on Nintendo Switch in 2021.

Fans should remember last year’s Bunny Day, when there was a lot of eggs to collect, which could then be exchanged for seasonal items at Bunny Oh. Whether the event will turn out similarly this year is likely, but it remains to be seen.

The event is scheduled to start on March 28th. The end is scheduled for April 4th. During this time, Nook’s store has individual Easter items in stock.

The design app is also being updated. The update gives the program four new professional design styles and 100 new storage locations for your creations.

In addition, the design swap terminal is added directly to the design app. So from now on you don’t have to visit the tailor shop to access the community designs. The update is rounded off with new seasonal items. Included are among other things a pup pillow, a prom attire and a globe.

In keeping with the one year anniversary of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you will receive a birthday cake as a gift. Switch Online members can also order a Nintendo Switch Lite from Nook Shopping.

An update of the NookLink app has also been announced. Here you collect Nook points every day to unlock items. If you also read in amiibo cards from the Sanrio collaboration, residents in the Sanrio design will appear on your island.

Furthermore, from March 24th it will be possible to load the screenshots and videos you created in the game onto your smartphone. From there you can play them on a new island presenter website and use them to create digital posters – and display them on your island.
