Android phones are seeing a big change in India as thanks to a new condition in India Mobile Application Distribution (IMADA), you will only have Play Store automatically installed as a requirement on an Android phone.

Other Google apps like Search, Maps, and Chrome are optional installs. While this won’t affect the rest of the world, Google may be testing new Android options with certain market areas.

It’s clearly not going to be a popular move with Google, which will no longer have 11 apps automatically installed on every Android phone. This will also allow users to set their own default search engine.
