Dragon Isles is one of the largest continents to be introduced to World of Warcraft throughout the game’s long history. How to Unlock Ancient Passage Doors in WoW: Dragonflight

Ancient portals are unlocked over time as you progress through the ranks of the Dragonscale Expedition faction. In Renown 7 you will unlock the ability to choose a mission to start unlocking Ancient Waygates. Once you open the first one, you’ll unlock an additional one at fame levels 8, 10, 15, 17, 20, and 23.

There are a total of eight Ancient Gates on the Dragon Islands, and it’s up to you which ones you want to prioritize for each unlock you open. Although you’ll eventually get them all, it’s recommended that you go to those furthest from Valdrakken first, as accessing them manually takes the most time. The missions to unlock them only require you to travel to their location and activate the portal. Clicking on any ancient gateway across the continent will instantly teleport you to the one you’ve unlocked once every half hour.
