In the latest patch for Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, Raven Software has addressed some glaring issues plaguing the ever-successful free-to-play battle royale game. Two of the most interesting involve both AI enemies and the ability for players to move through solid objects to reach otherwise unwanted areas. The AI could circle Ashika Island in DMZ mode, exposing players to unexpected risks. Damn more, players could do this during actual matches on the island, leaning, shooting, and moving through solid walls to gain an unfair advantage. Both issues have been fixed.

Additionally, there have been a ton of weapon balancing changes, mostly in the Combat Rifle class, with a mix of nerfs and buffs to shake up the meta or bring high performance options. A particular weapon solution will certainly give fans of sniper rifles something to talk about. Incendiary rounds will no longer give snipers the ability to hit players with a single tap. The power to do this legitimately was removed halfway through the original Warzone’s lifecycle, and now that this bug has been fixed, it’s out of Warzone 2.0 as well.
There were also other fixes for Battle Royale and DMZ modes. These include fixing the ability to mistakenly get more attachments on a weapon than intended, a fix for Loadout Drop markers not equipping in the correct slot, and various UI bug fixes , UX and in-match activity, among other updates.
Warzone 2.0 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II received a recent injection of new content with Season 2, including new weapons, maps, the Path of the Ronin event, and more. It remains to be seen if these additions will be good for the game in the long run or if the upcoming updates in the rumored 2023 title will open everything up.
