He Grieta Sony-Microsoft-Activision took a turn for the worse. Following the publication of a report by the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) on the deal with Microsoft Activision, an Activision Blizzard executive accused Sony of admitting it was only doing try to sabotage the merger.
Confusion continues over Microsoft Activision deal
The leader in question is none other than Lulu Cheng Meservey, EVP Corporate Affairs and CCO of Activision Blizzard. On Twitter, he claimed that Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan said during a recent hearing in Brussels: “I don’t want a new deal with Call of Duty. I just want to block your fusion.
Apparently, the aforementioned statement was made on February 21.
The Director General of SIE answered this question in Brussels.
In his words:
“I don’t want a new Call of Duty contract. I just want to block your merge.

It seems unlikely that Ryan would make such a statement on the record, especially since Sony has submitted thousands of pages explaining why it believes the Microsoft Activision deal will hurt businesses and consumers. Whether we agree with these arguments or not is another question.
CMA’s decision on the merger is expected in April.
