Three Chilean artists stand out in the announcements for the 2021 Latin Grammy Awards nominations , which will take place on November 18 . Paloma Mami; Gepe and Mon Laferte are the nominees in different categories for this version of the awards.
Mon Laferte has four nominations : Best Songwriter Album for “Six”; Song of the Year for “Let our love be known”; Best Regional Mexican Song with the same title already named; Best Pop Song with “La Mujer” with Gloria Trevi.
Norma Monserrat Bustamante Laferte, known artistically as Mon Laferte, is a Chilean singer-songwriter, musician and composer.
The singer Gepe , is nominated for Best Alternative Song for his collaboration with Vicentico for the song “Confía”.
Alejandro Riveros Daniel Sepulveda, known as Gepe, is a musician, composer and multi – instrumentalist Chilean, who in addition to his solo work participated in the workshop Dejao duo with bassist Javier Cruz.
As for Paloma Mami , she was nominated in the main category of the event that is Best New Artist after knowing her new album
Paloma Rocío Castillo, artistically known as Paloma Mami, is a Chilean-American singer of Latin pop, reggaeton and Latin trap. She rose to popularity in 2018 after releasing her first single “Not Steady,” after going through the talent show Rojo.
While in the other categories are international Latin artists such as Bad Bunny; Camilo; Nathy Peluso; etc.
