“The Walking Dead”: Daryl Dixon gets a mission in first trailer for spin-off series
At San Diego Comic Con, AMC unveiled a new trailer for the spin-off series starring Norman Reedus.
One of the most beloved characters in The Walking Dead universe returns as the protagonist of the next spin-off series produced by AMC. The first trailer for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon was unveiled to fans of the Walking Dead franchise at the San Diego Comic Con convention. The first season of the material will premiere on September 10.

The spin-off images convey the atmosphere of mystery, action and drama in the sequel to the acclaimed fiction that captivated the world a decade ago. Norman Reedus, who has played Daryl since the beginning of the horror saga, reprises his role and embarks on a journey that takes him far from the post-apocalyptic scenarios we are used to.
On this occasion, Dixon finds himself in France, a country where he has woken up with no memory of how he got there and with the challenge of finding his way back home. How will the story unfold in such a different context? Likewise, the trailer reveals the mission that the man who survived the zombie invasion will have to fulfill: to take Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi) to safety. As he is told, the girl holds “the rebirth of humanity” in her hands.
The cast grows with the addition of French actress Clémence Poésy (Tenet, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) and British actor Adam Nagaitis (Chernobyl), who will play new characters that will cross Daryl’s path. In addition, the news that the title has already been renewed for a second season ahead of its premiere, speaks to the commitment and confidence AMC has in the project.
However, it hasn’t all been celebration in The Walking Dead universe. The news that Melissa McBride, who plays Carol Peletier, would reduce her participation in the series, generated some controversy among fans. Despite this, it has been confirmed that both characters, Daryl and Carol, will have a reunion in the Parisian city, although the role of the actress will be more limited than many expected.
This project aims to maintain the essence of the fight for survival that has characterized the saga since its inception, while refreshing the plot with new challenges and enemies. The trailer shows Daryl facing hordes of zombies in the streets of Paris, forming alliances and facing betrayals in his quest for the truth.
