Reviews are still under embargo (we’ll have to wait until next Monday), but the fact remains that the first reactions of the press after the preview of The Batman are circulating online. There are many newspapers that have leaked the first comments that, not even to say it, are having the effect of increasing an already skyrocketing hypeThe Batman will arrive in Italian cinemas on March 3, while in the United States the following day. The film directed by Matt Reeves creates a universe of its own, with Robert Pattinson ‘s Batman existing in a different Gotham than the character of Ben Affleck in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League . The Batman will tell the second year of Bruce Wayne’s career as a hooded Crusader and it will certainly not be the classic origin story.

Screen Rant reports some of the press comments after the film preview, taken from a later removed MTV UK Instagram post. We see below the first (more than encouraging) reactions to Matt Reeves’ film and to Robert Pattinson’s interpretation.

MTV Movies’ Hannah Flint refers to The Batman as “a compelling and entertaining coming-of-age story . ” Unilad and Total Film up the ante by calling the film “absolutely euphoric” and “sensational” respectively . Empire and Shortfilm align themselves focusing on the impact of a film they label as engaging and grandiose . But, as reported by Screen Rant, it is Insider who releases the comment that most tickles the curiosity and increases the hype out of all proportion: “Robert Pattinson will become your new favorite Bataman”. Little room for doubts, therefore, Matt Reeves’ cinecomic is promoted with flying colors. The countdown has definitely begun: all that remains is to wait until March 3 to see if the very high expectations will be confirmed.
