Confirmed during the Tokyo Game Show of 2020, the animated series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will make its way onto the Netflix platform this year. First details appear.
CGI series in production at TMS Entertainment (Detective Conan), Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is hosted by studio Quebico, which we already found in the credits of Resident Evil: Vendetta. On the production side, we find Hiroyuki Kobayashi, already at work on Resident Evil : Degeneration and Resident Evil: Vendetta.
When biohazards are unleashed, only an experienced zombie slayer duo can do the job. Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is a new original series set in the canon of Resident Evil, Capcom’s classic survival horror franchise. – Netflix.
The two protagonists will be major faces of the Capcom license, Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield. And Netflix announced it today, it is the actors who embodied them in the remake of Resident Evil 2 (2019) who will once again take on their roles.

A synopsis that becomes clearer
Also through Netlifx, the storyline for the series shares a slew of details. We learn then that the adventure will begin in 2006, while secret files have been hacked within the White House.
American agents including Leon S. Kennedy, in charge of the investigation, will be confronted with zombies during a sudden blackout. At the same time, Claire Redfield, a TerraSave employee, discovers a mysterious painting made by a boy with aphasia in another country and on which we can guess a person infected with a virus.
The next morning, Claire goes to the White House to ask for the construction of a welfare center, finds Leon by chance and shows him the drawing of the boy. Leon realizes something about the connection between the White House zombie incident and the bizarre painting but leaves the scene saying it has nothing to do with Claire. The two zombie outbreaks that took place in distant countries ended up turning into a nation-shaking situation.
For now, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness does not have a release date.
