For the 2022 Oscars we will experience a very different ceremony than last year, despite still being in the midst of a pandemic.

And for this, the Academy will have the help of three powerful women from the entertainment industry, who will serve as emcees of the 94th edition of the awards.

Meet the presenters of the Oscars 2022

Regina Hall, Wanda Sykes and Amy Schumer will present, for the first time, the most important night in Hollywood.

Will Packer, producer of the televised ceremony, said through a statement distributed on the Oscars website, that the theme of this edition is to unite movie lovers.

“This year’s ceremony will be focused on bringing movie lovers together. It’s fitting that we’ve lined up three of the most dynamic and hilarious women with very different comedic styles,” said Packer.

“I know that the fun that Regina, Amy and Wanda will have at the ceremony will reach our audience. We will have many surprises! Expect the unexpected! “he added.

“Regina, Amy and Wanda are comedic powerhouses who will make history as the first all-female trio to host entertainment’s biggest night, and we’re thrilled to have them lead the charge.” [de la ceremonia] to deliver an incredible show full of laughs and unforgettable moments,” said Craig Erwich, president of ABC Entertainment and Hulu Originals.

ABC is the US network where the Oscars are traditionally broadcast.

The artists who have already been confirmed for the ceremony

Apart from these mistresses of ceremonies, the Oscars – and in any case, any award ceremony – has a series of artists who present the categories and are in charge of proclaiming who is the winner of the statuette.

This work will fall on: Kevin Costner, Zoë Kravitz, Lady Gaga, Rosie Perez, Chris Rock, Yuh-Jung Youn, Ruth E. Carter, Anthony Hopkins, Lily James, John Leguizamo, Simu Liu, Rami Malek and Uma Thurman.

The Academy also announced that Halle Bailey, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jamie Lee Curtis, Woody Harrelson, Samuel L. Jackson, Shawn Mendes, Tyler Perry, Tracee Ellis Ross, Daniel Kaluuya, Mila Kunis, Lupita Nyong’o, Naomi Scott, Wesley Snipes and John Travolta will be among the category presenters for the ceremony.

A week after the ceremony, the Oscars said that Stephanie Beatriz, DJ Khaled, Jennifer Garner, HER, Tiffany Haddish, Tony Hawk, Bill Murray, Elliot Page, Kelly Slater, Shaun White, would also be on stage at the Dolby Theater.

musical performances

One of the aspects that make the Oscars a complete ceremony are the musical interludes where viewers enjoy the songs nominated for best original song.

And this year will not be the exception. The Oscars confirmed the presentations of Beyoncé, Billie Eilish and FINNEAS, Sebastián Yatra and Reba McEntire.

The Academy said that Van Morrison, who performs “Down to Joy,” will not be at the ceremony as he is on tour so the song will not be performed during the awards.

Also taking the stage will be blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, percussionist/singer Sheila E and pianist Robert Glaspe for a performance conducted by Adam Blackstone.

Take advantage and review the productions nominated in the category of best original song before the Oscars:

“Be alive” from the tape “King Richard”. Music and lyrics by DIXSON and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter.

“No time to die” of the tape with the same name. Music and lyrics by brothers Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell.

“Orguitas” from the Disney film “Charm”. Music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda with the interpretation of Sebastián Yatra.

“Somehow You Do” from the tape “Four Good Days”. Music and lyrics by Diane Warren with performance by Reba McEntire.

“Down to Joy” from the tape “Belfast”. Music and lyrics by Van Morrison
