The highlights on Disney + in January 2022
Marvel’s Eternals: The film has only just been shown in the cinemas, from January 12th you can watch it from the comfort of your couch at home.
It’s about a troop of heroes who have protected the earth from the monstrous deviants for many millennia. This ancient enemy of mankind had long since been defeated – but suddenly they reappear and force the Eternals to intervene.
The ten new heroes are prominently cast: Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Salma Hayek, Kit Harrington, Gemma Chan and other well-known names. However, even this cast cannot hide all of the film’s weaknesses – for whom Eternals is suitable and for whom not, you can read in our spoiler-free review:
Shape of Water: Award-winning fantasy drama by Guillermo del Toro in which a mute woman named Elisa and a mysterious water creature get closer. The creature is the result of secret government experiments during the Cold War and is kept in a tank. Elisa wants to free him, even if she risks her life for it.
