The famous singer Laura Pausini received a new nomination for the Oscar 2021, in the category ‘Best Original Song’ for her song “I do” from the film “The Life Ahead” starring Sophia Loren.

“From last year until today I have been part of a great family that not only asked me to be the voice of the title song, but also brought together a group of people who have passionately dedicated themselves to the artistic creation of this film. We all made ourselves available to the message that we want to take from Italy to the rest of the world ”, were Pausini’s first words when he received the news of this new triumph for the song.

“I want to thank the Academy for this honor, also Sofia, Edoardo, Diane, Niccolò, Bonnie and the entire team of ‘The Life Ahead’ because thanks to them I discovered a new way of writing and being directed in the interpretation of the song, something that I usually do at my discretion and in complete solitude ”, mentioned the Italian interpreter.

“I also thank Palomar and Netflix who accompanied me in this dream. This new nomination moves me more than ever on an emotional level because it is also very important for our country and for Italian culture… The song and the film are dedicated to people who feel lost, abandoned and unprotected. It is a state of mind that I know and that, today more than ever, lives in many people due to the pandemic. But hope is the main teaching that this song and this film have set out to give ”, were the words of Laura Pausini before the exciting news.
